BIOgraphy
Born and raised in Japan in a land where there are only mountains, the sea was not part of my everyday life.
It wasn’t until my late 30s, when I was past the peak of my physical fitness, that I became interested in the sea and marine life.
Starting with a cheap camera and housing, underwater photography changed my way of life. I soon became a divemaster, won a few competitions and started doing a bit of photography.
Although my scientific knowledge of the sea is still limited, I focus on bringing out the best in my subjects..
周囲を山で囲まれた環境で生まれ育った私にとって、海は日常生活の一部ではありませんでした。
海や海洋生物に興味を持ったのは、体力のピークを過ぎた30代後半になってからでした。安いカメラとハウジングから始めた水中写真は、私の生き方を変えました。すぐにダイブマスターになり、いくつかのコンテストで入賞し、写真も少し撮るようになりました。
海に関する科学的な知識はまだ乏しい私は、被写体の魅力を最大限に引き出すことに重点を置いています。
