Biography
Born and raised in a mountainous environment, the sea was not part of my daily life.
My interest in the ocean and marine life only emerged in my late thirties, after my physical peak had passed. Starting with an inexpensive camera and housing, underwater photography transformed my way of life. I quickly became a dive master, won several contests, and began working as a photographer.
Still lacking scientific knowledge about the sea, I focus on bringing out the maximum appeal of my subjects.
As an underwater photographer, I document marine and freshwater landscapes, the organisms that inhabit them, and the human lives intertwined with these waters. In the silence of the underwater world, I encounter the heartbeat of massive whales and momentary miracles woven by curtains of light. Through my lens, I capture more than just a record of nature—I capture the beginning of life, the connections between living things, and the intrinsic beauty of the world we must protect.
周囲を山で囲まれた環境で生まれ育った私にとって、海は日常生活の一部ではありませんでした。
海や海洋生物に興味を持ったのは、体力のピークを過ぎた30代後半になってからでした。安いカメラとハウジングから始めた水中写真は、私の生き方を変えました。すぐにダイブマスターになり、いくつかのコンテストで入賞し、写真家としての活動を始めました。
私は水中写真家として、私は海や川の景観、そこに息づく生命、そしてそれらと共にある人間の営みを記録しています。 静寂に包まれた水中で出会うのは、巨大なクジラの鼓動や、光のカーテンが織りなす一瞬の奇跡です。
私のレンズが捉えるのは、単なる自然の記録ではありません。生命の始まり、繋がり、そして私たちが守るべき世界の美しさそのものです。
